Dear farmdoc daily subscriber,

I want to update you regarding an important development.  Todd Hubbs is leaving the University of Illinois for a senior outlook position with the ERS of the USDA.  We deeply appreciate all of the contributions that Todd has made to the farmdoc program the last four years.  He will be truly missed.  The good news is that Todd will still be very much involved in grain price outlook work.  We wish him all the best in his new position.

Unfortunately, with Todd’s departure we have no choice but to suspend publication of the weekly grain price outlook on farmdoc daily.  We will still publish hog and cattle price outlook articles by Jason Franken of Western Illinois University once or twice a quarter.

The Monday weekly grain price outlook will be suspended until a replacement for Todd Hubbs is found.  We do not have any information on how long this will take, as hiring at the University of Illinois is currently frozen for nearly all positions.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Scott Irwin
farmdoc team leader
